To celebrate Arbor Day, the Businesses of Coopersburg, and the Coopersburg Business Revitalization Program, gifted to every Liberty Bell first grader, a small Douglas-fir tree.
Four members of the CBRP spoke to one-hundred first graders about the wonders and benefits of trees. Each student took home one tree to plant.
“I hope the students learned a little, and appreciate trees more after our visit,” said Mark McCormick, CBRP president. “As a first grader, I was a recipient of an Arbor Day tree gift, and my hope is that 30 years from now, one of these students continues the tradition.”
